 | AC SUBOTICA: WELCOME TO AMERICAN CORNER SUBOTICA |
  American Corner SUBOTICA is a cultural, educational and information center, an American-style library. This project is the result of cooperation between the City of Subotica and the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade. According to the Agreement signed by the municipality, the Library and the U.S. Embassy, the Embassy funded the renovation of the space and provided furniture, technical equipment, books, magazines, CD-ROMs, promotional materials and staff training for the American Corner, with a value exceeding $70,000. The municipality of Subotica has provided the location, staff and utilities for the American Corner.The membership is FREE of charge. If you want to become a member, you just need to bring an ID and a small-size photo for the membership card.
Once you become a member you can:
*read newspapers, magazines and books in the reading room
*check out books
*use the Internet, our collection of CD-ROMs, videos and DVDs
*watch our feature film and documentary projections
*attend lectures by distinguished American Fulbright scholars, fellows, Embassy staff and many other prominent Americans
*participate in the workshops that we organize
*find the most up-to-date information on studying in the U.S., as well as books for *preparing TOEFL, SAT, LSAT, GRE and GMAT exams
*use the materials for English teaching (this can be very useful for English teachers)
*enjoy our paper shows, holiday celebrations, see the exhibits we organize
*attend book presentations
*attend English classes
*join our book club
